Conforma Clad Expands Extrusion Wear Solutions

New Albany, IN – (July 9, 2007)

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Conforma Clad, a global leader of severe wear solutions, introduces its infiltration brazed tungsten carbide protection for screw elements to the twin-screw extrusion industry.

Conforma Clad cladding is metallurgically bonded to the base material of screw element flights greater than 3/16”, resulting in tighter barrel tolerances and improved process control.  These protected screw elements are ideal for use with WPR-29 type barrels and ensure maximum screw and barrel compatibility.  Field tests revealed that Conforma Clad tipped screw elements lasted as much as five times longer than typical CPM-10V conveyance elements.

Screw elements protected with Conforma Clad must be requested thru OEMs and after market suppliers or call Conforma Clad for a list of participating OEM providers.

Conforma Clad will be exhibiting its new screw element technology at the K Show in Düsseldorf, Germany on October 24-31, 2007.  Application Engineers will be on hand to answer any questions from the public.
